The Melczer Bros were a Wholesale Liquors Business on 114-122 W. Adams St. in Phoenix, Arizona. Early records through the Maricopa County Arizona History Archives show them 1911-1912, when Arizona was a Territory. Louis Melczer was the president of the business, an early Jewish business man in Arizona, and is listed in the Arizona Jewish Archives also as a Jewish owned business. Frank E. Leeper was the Vice President and Joseph T. Melczer was the Secretary and Treasurer of the company. This item, circa early 1900s, bears 3 long cracks in the surface, but no missing pieces. Measures 11” tall.
